Make your own Asia map

Pick a color and click countries to build a custom Asia map, from the Middle East through Central and South Asia to Japan and Indonesia. Add a legend and a title, then download it as PNG or SVG, or paste a spreadsheet and let the Data dialog shade the whole continent as a choropleth.

    What's on this map

54 countries and territories. The Middle East and the Gulf states are all here, as are the Central Asian republics, the Indian subcontinent, and East and Southeast Asia down to Timor-Leste. Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macao, and Palestine are drawn as separate colorable regions. Russia and Turkey span two continents, so they appear here and on the Europe map; island nations like the Maldives, Sri Lanka, and Singapore are individually clickable if you zoom in.

    How it works

    1. Pick a paint from the palette, or choose a custom color.
    2. Click or tap countries to color them, or drag across several to color them in one sweep. Click again with the same paint to clear it.
    3. Label your legend and give the map a title.
    4. Download the map as PNG or SVG, or save the project file to keep editing later.

Shade the map from data (choropleth)

Have numbers instead of colors in mind? Open Data and paste two spreadsheet columns: country names or ISO codes with a value, like Japan, 124. The map shades every matched region from low to high with a numeric legend. Pick the number of classes, equal-count or equal-range breaks, and a color ramp, then download the choropleth map as PNG or SVG.

    Map ideas

Travel routes along the old Silk Road; ASEAN, Gulf, or Belt-and-Road groupings; population or GDP choropleths from pasted data; maps of scripts, cuisines, or time zones for teaching; supply-chain and market maps for work presentations.

    Frequently asked questions

Can Taiwan and Hong Kong be colored separately?

Yes. Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao are their own regions on this map, so each can hold its own color and legend entry.

Is the Middle East part of the Asia map?

Yes. The whole Middle East is included, from Israel, Palestine, and Lebanon through the Arabian Peninsula to Iran.

    Is Map Maker free?

Yes. Everything is free: coloring, legends, the Data dialog, and PNG and SVG downloads. No account, no watermark.

Should I download PNG or SVG?

PNG is ready for slides, documents, and social posts, and prints cleanly. SVG scales to poster size without losing sharpness and stays editable in Figma, Illustrator, or Inkscape.
